The Immokalee Water and Sewer District ("District") will accept sealed bids from individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities for a five (5) year lease of the District’s land known as the Section 8 Spray field. The existing lessee has first right of refusal and will have sixty (60) days to remove property if he chooses not to exercise his right of first refusal. Bids are due on or before 1:00 PM on August 4, 2023. Thereafter, staff will present its recommendation to the Board to award the lease to the highest responsive and responsible bidder. Staff’s recommendation is expected to be presented at the District’s regularly scheduled Board Meeting following the bid opening. After Board approval of the successful bidder, staff will execute a lease with the successful bidder in substantially the form provided with the solicitation.

Property Description

The leased property is approximately 295.3 acres contained within a 638-acre parcel of land located in Section 8, Township 47 South, Range 29 East, Collier County Property Appraiser Folio No. 00132760001 owned by the Immokalee Water and Sewer District and known as the District’s Section 8 Sprayfield. The leased property is approximately 295.3 acres within the existing fenced area shown as a yellow line on the map provided as Exhibit 3B and is labeled “Cattle Lease Area.” The Cattle Lease Area generally consists of the portion of the property located north of the existing access roadway, ditch and ponds and west of the slough.

The lease includes access to the Cattle Lease Area via Sanitation Road subject to the terms and conditions of the Lease.

Bid/Response Submission

All Bids/Responses must be submitted on the Bid Form via email to sarahcatala@iw-sd.com or delivered in a sealed envelope to the IWSD Administration Office, 1020 Sanitation Road, Immokalee Florida, 34142. The Response must be clearly marked as “2023 Bid for Cattle Grazing Lease” as the subject line of the email or marked on the outside of the sealed envelope, which shall also include the Respondent's return address.

Pre-Bid Conference

A pre-bid conference will be held at 9:00 AM on July 27, 2023 at 140 White Way, Immokalee, FL 34142. At that time District staff will accompany interested bidders on a site visit of the property to be leased. All questions must be submitted to the District in writing or email no later than July 31, 2023. Questions and Responses will be posted on the District’s website
