Water Main Pipe Replacement
The Immokalee Water and Sewer District (“District”) is seeking bids to install 830 LF of 10” DR 18 PVC pipe to replace existing AC underground water main piping. New PVC pipe to be installed adjacent to existing AC pipe along a 20’ wide utility easement. Existing AC pipe to be abandoned in place and grouted. Location of work is at Hanshaw & Capling Farms LLC off SR 29 near Farm Worker Village in Immokalee, FL. The work must be performed in accordance with the attached Engineering Plans provided in Appendix I and Technical Specifications provided in Appendix II.
A copy of the solicitation packet is available for downloading from the District’s website at www.immokaleewatersewer.com for no charge beginning on October 3, 2024. Copies may also be obtained by visiting DemandStar at www.DemandStar.com.
All prospective respondents are prohibited from contacting any member of the District Board of Commissioners or District employees except as provided below. All questions must be directed to Louis Brunetti via email at LouisBrunetti@immokaleewatersewer.com using “Question re: ITB # FY2025-01 Water Main Pipe Replacement" as the subject line. The deadline for submitting all questions is 4:00 P.M on October 24, 2024. Questions received after the deadline will not be answered. All responses to questions and addenda will be posted on the District’s website and DemandStar. It is the responsibility of the respondent to review the District’s website or DemandStar to determine if any addenda have been issued and to acknowledge such addenda in its response.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on October 10, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at the Immokalee Water and Sewer District Boardroom at 1020 Sanitation Roads, Immokalee, FL 34142. Bidders must attend this meeting to qualify to submit a bid. A site visit will follow the meeting.
As provided in section 255.0158, Florida Statutes, the District will open all sealed bids at a public meeting immediately following the submission deadline of November 5, 2024, at 10:00 AM. The meeting will be held at the Immokalee Water and Sewer District Board Room located at 1020 Sanitation Road, Immokalee, FL 34142. At the meeting, the District will announce the name of each bidder and the price submitted in the bid. After the bid opening, the District will review the bids for responsiveness and responsibility and will post its intended decision after it completes its review.
The District will select a contractor according to the process described in the ITB Package. The deadline to submit a response is November 5, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. Responses received after the deadline will not be accepted. All costs and expenses related to the preparation and submission of a response are the sole responsibility of the respondent.
The District reserves the right to withdraw and cancel this solicitation at any time, without liability to any respondent or prospective respondent.
