REQUEST FOR CONSULTANT STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS
For
PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES
WATER SOFTENING & EMERGING CONTAMINANT TREATMENT SYSTEMS
The Immokalee Water and Sewer District (District) is soliciting Request for Qualifications from engineering consultants (Consultant) for the purpose of providing professional engineering services for modifying the current treatment process at each of the District’s three existing Water Treatment Plants to add water softening, organics removal, emerging contaminants treatment and to convert from chloramines to free chlorine. Professional engineering design services may include, but are not limited to, process design, piping and instrumentation diagram development, civil/structural and electrical design, instrumentation and controls, geotechnical analysis (if needed), vendor coordination along with recommendations for equipment selection, project management, signed and sealed technical plans/specifications, permit coordination, and Construction Engineering Inspection Services. The District expects one consultant to manage the entire design process by either self-performing the services or using subconsultants.
Consultants providing professional engineering services must demonstrate compliance with the rules and regulations of the District and other agencies as may be applicable for the project. The District intends to select one (1) firm based on qualifications that can best provide the services and needs of the District.
An information packet containing the RFQ documents and requirements is available for download from the District’s website at www.immokaleewatersewer.com and on DemandStar for no charge beginning on June 11, 2024. There will be an optional Pre-RFQ Site Visit for interested parties beginning at the JVW Water Treatment Plant, 1020 Sanitation Road, Immokalee, FL 34142 at 10:00 AM on June 20, 2024.
Questions regarding this Request for Qualifications must be directed by email to Sarah Catala (sarahcatala@immokaleewatersewer.com) no later than July 5, 2024, by 4:00 PM. All responses to questions and addenda, if any, will be posted on the District’s website and on DemandStar.
All responses must be submitted via email to sarahcatala@immokaleewatersewer.com or delivered in a sealed envelope to the Immokalee Water and Sewer District Administration Office, 1020 Sanitation Road, Immokalee Florida, 34142 on or before July 19, 2024, by 2:00 PM. The Response must be clearly marked as “Response to RFQ# FY2024-02 – Water Softening and Emerging Contaminant Treatment Systems” as the subject line of the email or marked on the outside of the sealed envelope, which shall also include the Respondent’s return address. Respondent shall provide six (6) hard copies of its response in the sealed envelope if respondent is providing its response by delivery to the District Administration office rather than by email.
Consultant selection will be in accordance with the Information Packet, the District’s Procurement Policy (available at www.immokaleewatersewer.com), and section 287.055, Florida Statutes, the Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act.
