The Drop Savers Poster Contest, organized annually by the Florida Section of the American Water Works Association (FSAWWA), brings students together to explore the importance of water conservation through creativity and education. By engaging young minds early, the program helps build an understanding of water quality and encourages lifelong appreciation for conserving one of our most vital resources.

Water utilities across the state participate by hosting local contests in collaboration with nearby schools, tailoring prizes to their communities while fostering meaningful connections with students, educators, and residents. Our District is proud to be part of this impactful initiative and looks forward to hosting the contest each year.

2025 Drop Savers Contest

Updated on 04/15/2025 10:09 AM

This year, we chose to partner with the Immokalee Middle School again. We realized that the middle schoolers have a great amount of talent and deserved the opportunity to showcase their skills. We received 39 entries that were selected from a larger pool of posters. The student entries ranged from 6th to 7th grade. Students did a wonderful job with their messaging on water conservation.

This photo album contains the artwork of the top 10 winners selected by a panel of judges who scored posters on originality, creativity, messaging, and artistic ability. Students' details were kept hidden until a final 10 posters were chosen, keeping the contest equal and fair.
